The main research areas of Power Electronics System Lab (PESL) include electric propulsion system of eco-friendly mobility and power converter for renewable energy integration. We conduct extensive research on motor drive system for electric vehicle, electric propulsion ship, and home appliance as well as grid-connected converter. We are especially interested in virtualizing system development of motor drive system based on motor analysis, AI-based modeling of motor and inverter, and DC based power grid and power converter.
