Mitochondrial dysregulation and chaperone function in human diseases
Mitochondrial dysregulation is often found in various intractable diseases including cancers. Our research is focused on elucidating the role of the mitochondrial chaperone, TRAP1, in human disease, aiming to uncover mechanisms of disease onset and progression.
Development of first-in-class drugs with novel mode of action
TRAP1 is a promising drug target for cancer and intractable diseases. By utilizing our original findings for TRAP1 drug development, we are working to create a potent therapeutic agents, aiming to provide novel treatment options to patients in need of effective interventions.
