본 연구실에서는 다차원의 구조체를 제작하고 다양한 어플리케이션에 적용하는 연구를 하고 있다. 다차원의 규칙적인 배열을 갖는 나노 구조체는 다양한 에너지 관련 분야, 즉 광전기화학적 수소 생산, 슈퍼커패시터 그리고 배터리 등에 적용될 수 있다. 또한, 그래핀, 전이금속 칼코젠화합물과 같은 2차원 물질의 합성과 응용에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 우수한 특성을 갖는 2차원, 3차원의 규칙적인 나노 구조체는 저차원 구조체가 이뤄낼 수 없었던 수많은 분야에 대한 매우 큰 가능성을 열어줄 것으로 기대된다.
We are working on fabrication and applications of artificial multi-dimensional structures. Multi-dimensional periodic nano-structures have found numerous applications in energy–related areas such as photoelectrochemical H2 generation, supercapacitors, and batteries. Besides, synthesizing and exploiting wonder 2D materials such as graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides are being studied deeply. 2D and 3D periodic nanostructures with specific prosperities will open up the significant possibility in a number of fields, which is not attainable from simple low dimensional structures.
