Information on holding a briefing session on the Korea-US science and engineering student human resource exchange support program

The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea are operating various international joint research and human resource exchange programs to ensure continued cooperation between Korea and the United States.

Among them, an information session will be held as follows to increase the support rate for the ‘Korea-US Science and Engineering Student Human Resources Exchange Support Program’ in connection with the ‘NSF IRES Program’ promoted by the U.S. National Science Foundation. Interested researchers are encouraged to attend.

< What is the NSF IRES Program (International Research Experience for Students)? >

– (Purpose) Strengthen leadership and foster next-generation research leaders by supporting international joint research and research-linked activities of American science and engineering students

– (Selection scale) As of 2024, a total of 20-25 tasks

  • Event name: Korea-US science and engineering personnel exchange (NSF IRES) support program briefing session
  • Participants: Researchers interested in operating the Korea-US human resources exchange program for science and engineering students
  • Event date: 2024.9.12. (Thursday) 9:00 ~

  • Details: Introduction to the U.S. NSF IRES program and the Ministry of Science and ICT’s reverse matching IRES program (all conducted in English)
