교육부와 한국연구재단은 글로벌 AI 인재 경쟁에 대응하여 인공지능 분야 전문 석·박사급 인재를 양성하고, 인공지능 분야 인재 육성과 산업 성장의 선순환 체계를 구축하기 위해 4단계 두뇌한국(BK)21 사업 혁신인재양성사업 인공지능 분야 교육연구단을 선정할 계획이오니, 많은 신청 바랍니다.

  가. 지원 분야: 인공지능(AI) 분야

  나. 지원 기간 및 금액: 2년(2025.9.~2027.8.) / 연간 최대 전국 17억, 지역 10억

  다. 지원 내용: 대학원생 연구장학금, 신진연구인력 인건비, 국제화경비 등

  라. 신청 자격 및 신청 단위: 국내 대학원 학과 단위(세부 요건 [붙임 1] 참고)

  마. 접수 기간: 사전접수(7.21.~7.25.) 및 본접수(7.29.~8.6.) 2단계 접수 실시

    ※ 사전접수 미신청 시 본접수 신청 불가

  바. 신청 방법: 4단계 BK21사업 종합정보관리시스템(https://bk21four.nrf.re.kr/bkms/) 접속 후 온라인 입력 및 제출하며, 세부 방법은 추후 별도 공지

The Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) announce an additional call for proposals to select graduate education and research groups in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) under the 4th Phase BK21 Project (Innovative Talent Training Program). This initiative aims to cultivate highly skilled AI professionals at the master’s and doctoral levels in response to the global competition for AI talent, and to establish a virtuous cycle between talent development and industrial growth in the AI sector.

A. Supported Field:
Artificial Intelligence (AI)

B. Duration and Funding:
2 years (September 2025 – August 2027)

  • Up to KRW 1.7 billion per year for institutions in metropolitan areas

  • Up to KRW 1.0 billion per year for institutions in non-metropolitan regions

C. Support Details:

  • Research scholarships for graduate students

  • Salaries for early-career researchers

  • Internationalization expenses (e.g., academic exchanges, global research collaboration)

D. Eligibility and Application Unit:
Departments or programs within domestic graduate schools

E. Application Period:

  • Preliminary Application: July 21 – July 25, 2025

  • Main Application: July 29 – August 6, 2025

※ Preliminary application is mandatory to proceed to the main application stage.

Applicants must access the BK21 Phase 4 Integrated Management System

Complete and submit the application online.
Detailed submission instructions will be announced separately.
