Our research group is focused on understanding basic principles of chemical engineering and applying them to solve various challenging problems encountered in chemical processes. In particular, our group collaborates with various research groups from university, national research institute, and industry to achieve this goal. Our research group covers diverse research areas including process simulation and design, techno-economic analysis, numerical modeling, computational fluid dynamics, separation process, reaction engineering, AI, ML, etc. by well balancing between theoretical and experimental studies. The current research topics that we’re interested in are a membrane reactor system, H2 production, water electrolysis, fuel cells, vanadium redox flow battery, steam reformer, CO2 capture and utilization, Non-CO2 gas (CF4, SF6) reduction, landfill gas, batteries, to name a few.
