My research aims to understand the organization and strategy from the integrative viewpoints. Specific research topics include: the process of innovation inside and outside of corporate and research organizations in emerging technological fields; the association between human resource management (esp., for engineers and/or managers) and corporate strategy; the process of performance feedback in which a firm’s past performance shapes its subsequent strategy; the roles of social networks in the process of entrepreneurship. My main research method is to collect data (usually, at the firm, technology, and/or individual level) and employ quantitative analyses to test the plausible hypotheses from organization/strategy theories. My publications appeared in academic journals including Organization Science, Management Science, Journal of Management Studies, Research Policy, and Journal of International Business Studies.
