○ Leaders in Industry-University Cooperation Program (LINC)
Designed to foster LINC in order to further narrow the gap between education and the realities of the industrial field, as well as to lead the mutual development of universities and local industry by improving the college education system through industry-university cooperation

Aimed at supporting research in new convergent & combined fields and developing human resources This program is focused on fostering research-oriented universities to a world-class level by recruiting distinguished foreign scholars in order to improve the nation’s education and research environment.

Fosters local science research complexes in order to develop close cooperation between universities and companies, and enhances the competitiveness of regional R&D and contributes to the development of the national economy by fostering innovative researchers

Eligibility : Science research complexes having high growth potential as R&D hubs among 10 industrial complexes in Korea
Budget : Up to KRW 15 billion per complex for 5 years
Funding Details : Construction of infrastructure for science and technology and R&D considering the local characteristics
[Fostering Human Resources for Local Innovation]
Funded Fields : Science and technology excluding medical science, veterinary science and pedagogy
Funded Period : Up to 3 years
Eligibility : Science and engineering universities as well as companies in 13 metropolitan cities excluding the capital area
Budget : Up to KRW 200 million per project
Funding Details : Fostering high-class human resources customized to local industries by allowing researchers in their master’s or doctorate programs to take part in the local university-corporation joint project for technology development

Funded Period :Up to 3 years
Eligibility : 5 R&D Support Groups
Budget : Within KRW 100 million per research group
Funding Details :Planning R&D projects driven by local communities, supporting the comprehensive analysis and assessment of local R&D projects, disseminating the outcomes of R&D projects, and reinforcing networking efforts
○ Medical Researchers Support Program
Grants scholarships to graduate students taking medical courses with a view to securing research competitiveness in the fields of medical and biological science which are fields that serve as the bedrock for the nation’s future development
