Designed to manage the Industry-University-Institute Cooperation Center to provide information and systematic support, and organize Industry-University-Institute Cooperation Expos to promote cooperation and publicize its outcomes

○ University Leading Technology Licensing Offices (TLO) Support Program
Aimed at developing Technology Licensing Offices (TLO) in universities and institutes to facilitate technology transfer from research institutes to private companies in order to increase the competitiveness of companies and promote industrialization
Funded Fields : Technology transfer and promotion of industrialization
Funded Period : 2006~
Eligibility : Technology Licensing Offices attached to Industry-University Collaboration Group
Budget : KRW 50 ~ 300 million per university
Funding Details : Direct cost and personnel expenses such as technology transfer marketing costs
○ Commercialization of Industry-University Collaboration Group Technology Support Program
Aimed at setting up technology holding companies and helping them successfully take root in order to facilitate the commercialization of university research results and establish stable income sources for university enterprises
Funded Fields : Establishment of technology holding companies and conversion of university enterprises into subsidiaries of technology holding companies
Funded Period : 2011~
Eligibility : Industry-University Collaboration Group
Budget : KRW 100 ~ 300 million per university

○ Joint Research Corporations Support Program
Designed to promote the practical application of core and fundamental technologies along with the efficiency of the life-cycle of R&D investment by fostering joint research corporations through industrial-academic-institutional partnerships involving enterprises, universities and research institutes
Funded Fields : Support for commercialization of exceptional fundamental technologies
Funded Period : Up to 3 months (Commercialization plan); 5 years (3+2 years, Follow-up R&D)
Eligibility : Universities and research institutes with exceptional fundamental technology
Budget : KRW 40 million per project (Commercialization plan), KRW 500 million per project (Follow-up R&D)
Funding Details : Planning expenses for the commercialization of exceptional fundamental technologies, as well as follow-up R&D costs subsequent to the establishment of a corporation
○ University-Institute Specialized Graduate School Support Program
Aimed at setting up a training system for experts, as well as amplifying the synergy created through university-institute collaboration by operating specialized graduate schools combining the R&D infrastructure of research institutes with university education programs

Eligibility : Graduate schools which are co-founded and operated by research institutes and universities

Supports top students in their MS or Ph.D. courses in basic sciences in order to enhance research capacity and foster world-class scientists

Funded Period : 3 years (may be extended for an additional 2 years)
Eligibility : Students in their master’s or doctorate courses in Korea

○ Support Program for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology
Designed to nurture talented women in science and technology by creating a research and training environment favorable to women at varying stages of life and by establishing a mentoring system with established female scientists and engineers

Eligibility : Integrated center and 16 research groups

Expenses for reorganizing the engineering education system; offering field adaptation training programs and support programs for industry-university partnership and employment; encouraging women with backgrounds in natural science or engineering to engage in research
○ National Institute Program for Supporting Women in Science and Technology (WIST)
Nurtures female scientists and engineers and ensures that they are utilized effectively, the NRF runs the National Institute for Supporting Women in Science and Technology to help women enter into the science and technology industry
